World Habitat Day
The first Monday of October has been designated World Habitat Day, a day when we can reflect on the basic right to shelter and in South Africa this banner is carried by Habitat for Humanity. This week the project hopes to build 64 houses with over 6,500 volunteers.
Stor-Age was previously involved with a similar habitat project and a sponsorship of some students to assist with Habitat for Humanity. The students were very encouraged during their volunteer work stating, "We were constantly reminded that all it takes to be proactive in the place where we live is enthusiasm and willingness."
If this sparks a creative or energetic areas in your life then why not sign up to work on one of these amazing projects? You may find you get more than you give.
